Blind parts and accessories

Replacement vertical louvres, operating wands, chains, brackets, bottom weights and clips — the small parts that put a working blind back into service instead of into a skip. Everything here is listed against the fabric or system it belongs to, so what arrives matches what is already on the window.

Why our parts and accessories service is right for you

01

Repair the blind you already own

A split slat, a snapped chain or a lost wand does not mean a new blind. Most of what fails on a vertical or a roller is a part you can slide out and swap in a couple of minutes.

02

Slats sold by fabric, not by guesswork

Replacement louvres are listed under the fabric they belong to, so a new slat matches the ones either side of it instead of standing out as the obvious repair.

03

Both common widths covered

Vertical louvres come in 89mm and 127mm. Measure an existing slat across its face before ordering — it is the single thing people get wrong.

04

Or let us look at it

If a headrail is bowed or a mechanism has gone, bring it up at an appointment. It is often cheaper to replace one blind than to keep feeding parts into it.

Finance options available. We offer flexible ways to pay so a whole-house refresh doesn't have to land in one go. Your advisor will talk you through what's available at your appointment.

Before you order

Three measurements that save a return

Almost every accessory that comes back to us was ordered off a guess. Two minutes with a tape avoids it.

Slat width

Take an existing vertical louvre off the headrail and measure across its face. It will be either 89mm or 127mm. Anything between those two figures means you have measured a curled edge — flatten it and try again.

Drop

Measure from the hook hole at the top to the bottom of the slat, including the weight pocket. Replacement louvres are cut to that length, so a slat ordered short cannot be rescued afterwards.

Fabric name

If the blind came from us, the range name is on your paperwork. If not, send a photo in daylight against a white surface — it is usually enough for us to place the weave and the colour.

How our service works

Three steps, and we handle all of them

  1. A kitchen table with a mug of tea, a diary and a phone, in soft morning light
    01

    Book an appointment

Pick a day that suits you. It takes a minute, costs nothing, and there's never any pressure to buy.

  2. An open fabric sample book, wooden and white slat samples and a tape measure on a painted windowsill
    02

    We come to you

Your advisor brings the full range, helps you choose for each window, measures precisely and quotes on the spot.

  3. A newly fitted white wooden venetian blind in a bright bay window, a tool bag and spirit level tidy on the floor
    03

    We fit it for you

Once your order is made, our own fitter installs it, squares it up and takes the packaging away.

Not sure what has broken?

Send a photo, or have an advisor look at it during a free home appointment. If a part will fix it, we would rather sell you the part.

The blinds these parts belong to

If a blind is more repair than blind at this point, here is what it would cost to start again.

Parts and repairs: your questions answered

Buying a single part, identifying a fabric and knowing when a blind is past fixing.

Can I just buy the broken part?

Usually. Vertical slats, wands, chains, side winders, brackets, bottom weights and hanger clips are all supplied on their own, so a blind that has failed at one point does not have to be remade.

How do I work out which part I need?

If the blind came from us, the range name is on your paperwork. If it did not, send a daylight photo against a white surface — that is normally enough for us to place the weave, the colour and the mechanism.

Is it worth repairing or should I replace the blind?

A single broken slat, chain or bracket is worth repairing every time. Once the fabric has faded unevenly, or several components have gone at once, a new made-to-measure blind usually costs less than the parts and the time. Send a photo and we will say plainly which one it is.

Will replacement slats match the ones I have?

If the range is still in production, yes. Where a fabric has been discontinued we will say so rather than send a near-match, because one fresh slat in a faded set stands out more than a missing one.

What guarantee do I get?

A 1-year guarantee on every blind, shutter and motor we supply and fit. If something goes wrong inside that period, ring the office and we come back out.
