Blinds

Perfect fit blinds

Perfect Fit blinds sit in a slim frame that clips into the rubber gasket of a uPVC window, so there is no drilling into the frame and no cords hanging free. Because the blind travels with the sash, you can open a tilt-and-turn window or a conservatory vent with the blind still down — the usual reason people choose them.

Explained

Perfect fit blinds, explained

Perfect Fit blinds are made to sit within a slim frame that clips onto the window or door, rather than hanging out in front of it. On this page the range is largely no-drill venetian styles, with narrow slats in painted or wood-effect finishes, plus some frame-fitted pleated options. Because the blind moves with the sash, this style is often chosen for glazed doors, conservatories and windows where a neat, close fit matters. Your advisor can confirm on the day whether a particular window is suitable.

This style suits practical, tidy interiors where clean lines matter. The fitted frame gives a more built-in look than a standard blind, especially on doors, conservatories and modern window layouts.

Best for

  • Glazed doors and tilt-and-turn style windows where a close fit helps
  • Conservatories and rooms with lots of glass
  • A neat, built-in look with less blind projecting into the room
  • Homes that prefer cordless operation around children

Worth knowing

  • This filter includes at least one accessory and some products that look pleated rather than venetian
  • Suitability depends on the bead and frame of the individual window, so not every opening will take this system
  • Real wood is not usually the first choice for bathrooms or close to hobs; ask your advisor about more suitable finishes

How to choose

  1. 1

    Choose between slats and pleats

Most ranges shown here are venetian blinds with slim horizontal slats, which let you angle light and keep the lined look of a fitted frame. A few appear to be pleated fabric styles, which give a softer face to the glass and a flatter look when closed.

  2. 2

Think about the room and the window

Perfect Fit is often picked for doors, conservatories and busy windows because the blind sits close to the glass. If the window opens inwards or is used often, this close-fitting style can feel tidier than a blind hanging in front. Your advisor will confirm suitability on the day.

  3. 3

Pick a finish that suits the frame

The sample ranges lean towards whites, creams, greys and warm wood tones. Pale shades keep the look light and uniform, while darker slats read more clearly across the glass. If you want the blind to blend in, match the frame; if you want definition, go a shade deeper.

Perfect fit blinds: questions people ask

Are Perfect Fit blinds a good option for French doors and patio doors?

Often, yes. Because the blind sits within a frame close to the glass, it can be a sensible choice for glazed doors where a standard blind might move about more. It also keeps the overall look neat across several panes. Your advisor can confirm on the day which doors will take this system.

What is the difference between Perfect Fit venetian and pleated styles?

Venetian styles have horizontal slats you tilt to manage light and privacy through the day. Pleated styles use a folded fabric, so the face of the blind looks softer and less lined. On this filter, most products appear to be venetians, but there are a few frame-fitted pleated options mixed in.

Do Perfect Fit blinds look bulky on small windows?

Usually they are chosen because they sit close to the glass and keep the opening looking ordered. On smaller panes, slim slats or a simple pleated fabric can feel less fussy than a larger blind hanging over the frame. The best option depends on the proportions of the window and the frame detail.

Which finishes work best in a conservatory?

The sample ranges here lean towards whites, creams, greys and a few warmer wood-effect shades. Lighter colours tend to keep a conservatory looking brighter and more even across several windows, while darker slats give more definition. If you want an easy-care choice, ask your advisor about suitable wipeable options for the space.

Can I mix Perfect Fit blinds with curtains in the same room?

Yes. A fitted blind close to the glass can work well with curtains outside the opening, especially on doors or in wider rooms where you want a softer finish around the edges. It is a common way to keep the window practical while still adding fabric and fullness to the room.

Perfect fit blinds: your questions answered

How this type behaves in a real room, plus how measuring, fitting and the guarantee work.

Does anything get drilled into my window?

No. The frame clips into the rubber gasket around the glass, which is why Perfect Fit is popular on newer uPVC windows and rented homes — nothing is screwed into the frame and the blind lifts out again.

Can I still open the window with the blind down?

Yes, and that is the usual reason people choose it. The blind travels with the sash, so a tilt-and-turn window or a conservatory vent opens with the blind in place.

Will Perfect Fit work on my windows?

It needs a uPVC or aluminium frame with a gasket deep enough to take the clips. Timber sashes and older frames usually cannot take it. Your advisor checks the gasket on the appointment before quoting it.

Is fitting included in the price?

Yes. The quote you are given covers the product, the fitting and the guarantee. Your fitter hangs everything, checks the operation with you and takes the packaging away.

Who measures the windows?

Your advisor does, on the appointment. That matters for more than convenience: because we take the measurements, the fit is our responsibility rather than yours. Every opening is measured on its own — we never size one window off the one next to it.

What guarantee do I get?

A 1-year guarantee on every blind, shutter and motor we supply and fit. If something goes wrong inside that period, ring the office and we come back out.

Which type of blind suits which room?

Rollers are the simplest and best value and take blackout or dimout fabrics for bedrooms. Romans give a soft, curtain-like fold in living rooms. Venetians and wooden slats let you tilt light rather than just block it, which suits kitchens and studies. Verticals handle wide spans and patio doors. Day & night blinds have alternating stripes so you can trade privacy against light through the day.
