Why this range
What Calico does well
01
Built as cafe style shutters
Cut and finished as cafe style shutters for your exact window, rather than trimmed down from a stock size. The mechanism is sized to the drop, so it hangs straight and stays that way.
02
Chosen for real rooms
Customers most often put this range in bay window shutters, bedroom shutters, kitchen & dining room shutters — which is a better guide than any spec sheet.
03
Measured and fitted by us
One team measures, makes and installs. If something isn't right, there's nobody to pass you on to — we come back and sort it.
Style notes
What Calico is like, and where it works
Calico is a white plantation shutter made up of louvred panels that can be arranged full height, tier on tier, or shaped to fit unusual windows. It gives a tailored, architectural look at the window while letting you angle the louvres to control light and privacy.
A crisp white plantation shutter with horizontal louvres, shown in a tier-on-tier arrangement so the top and bottom sections open independently. The finish is smooth and matt, reading as a painted wood or wood-effect material.

Ideas for your home
Made-to-measure tier-on-tier shutters for a period bathroom
Suits a bathroom with tiled or panelled walls and a freestanding bath, where the top section can stay open for daylight while the bottom half keeps the window screened.
The tier-on-tier layout lets you open the top louvres for light while keeping the lower half closed for privacy.
Made-to-measure full height shutters for a country-style kitchen
Works well over a sink or dining window in a kitchen with wood or painted cabinetry, where a run of horizontal louvres adds a tailored finish without curtains getting in the way.
Full height panels give a clean, uninterrupted look across taller kitchen windows.
Made-to-measure shaped shutters for a bay window bedroom
Suits a bedroom bay window, where shaped panels can be fitted to follow an arched or angled frame while matching the rest of the room's shutters.
The shaped shutter option is built to the exact profile of the window, including bays and arched tops.
- Available as full height, tier on tier, cafe style, tracked door and shaped panels to suit different window styles
- An advisor measures the window at home and gives a written price before any work is carried out
- Fitting is included and there is a 1-year guarantee on the shutters

Questions we get asked
Calico is a white shutter, giving a clean, neutral finish that suits most rooms and window styles.
Yes, the range includes shaped shutters, which are made to fit bay windows, arched tops and other non-standard shapes rather than only square or rectangular openings.
Tier-on-tier shutters split the window into two independently opening sections, so you can leave the top louvres open for daylight while keeping the lower half closed, useful in bathrooms and ground floor rooms.
A local advisor visits your home with samples, measures every window precisely and quotes on the spot. Once you're happy, our fitter installs them at a time that suits you — measuring and fitting are included free.
Lead times depend on the range, fabric and any customisation. Your advisor will confirm an exact lead time at the measuring appointment so you know precisely when to expect installation.
Yes — every made-to-measure blind, shutter and motor comes with a 1-year guarantee covering manufacturing defects.
Yes. Pick up to 5 colours you'd like to see and your local advisor will bring those exact swatches to your free home visit so you can see and feel them in your own light. They'll also bring a full range on the day if you'd like to compare more.
