How it's made
How an electric blind works
Tap a number to see what each part does, and what you'll be choosing at your appointment.
1. Cassette
The motor sits inside the roller, hidden by the cassette.
Your advisor brings samples of every option to your window, so you can see and feel them before you choose.
Why this range
What Boston Fr Roller Blinds Electric does well
01
Built as electric blinds
Cut and finished as electric blinds for your exact window, rather than trimmed down from a stock size. The mechanism is sized to the drop, so it hangs straight and stays that way.
02
4 colourways to compare
Colour behaves differently in north light, in the evening and against your walls. Pick the ones you like here and your advisor brings those exact swatches to the visit.
03
Specified, not guessed
This range is listed for cordless blinds. If a window needs something this range can't do, your advisor will say so and show you one that can.
04
Chosen for real rooms
Customers most often put this range in bathroom blinds, dining room, conservatory — which is a better guide than any spec sheet.
Style notes
What Boston Fr Roller Blinds Electric is like, and where it works
The Boston Fr range is a textured roller blind with a fine crackled surface, shown here fitted into a recess with a neat white bottom bar and side-winder control. The finish reads as plain from a distance but has a soft mottled depth up close, making it a versatile choice across light and dark colourways.
A textured, crackle-effect weave shown in a soft off-white, a pale grey and a charcoal black, giving a plain but subtly mottled finish rather than a smooth flat fabric.

- light oak or painted window frames
- plain or lightly textured walls
- simple furniture in neutral tones
Ideas for your home
Made-to-measure roller blinds for a bright dining room
Suits a dining room with pale walls and a wooden table, where the light off-white texture softens the window without darkening the space.
The pale, textured finish keeps a dining room feeling airy while still giving the window a considered look.
Made-to-measure roller blinds for a bathroom window
Works on a bathroom window with tiled walls and chrome fittings, where the soft grey tone sits quietly against white sanitaryware.
A neutral, textured roller blind gives a bathroom window coverage without competing with tiling or fixtures.
Made-to-measure roller blinds for a conservatory
Fits a conservatory with large glazed panels and dark frames, where the charcoal colourway grounds the space against bright outdoor light.
The deeper colourway offers a strong contrast option for conservatory glazing while keeping the same simple roller shape.
- Available in four colourways: Ecru, Silk, Black and Shadow.
- Fitted with a side-winder control in the photos rather than a visible motor housing, though the range is listed as electric.
- The crackled texture is subtle and reads as a plain fabric from a distance.
