Explained

Bathroom blinds, explained

Bathroom blinds need to cope with moisture, give privacy and be easy to keep clean. In this filter, that mostly means made-to-measure roller and vertical blinds in wipeable, waterproof or easy-wipe fabrics, with plenty of plain neutrals and a few soft textured or lightly patterned designs. Rollers give a neat, simple cover across the whole window, while verticals are useful if you want to angle the louvres for light and privacy. For steamy rooms, these practical finishes are usually the starting point, and your advisor can confirm the best option on the day.

These bathroom ranges suit clean, practical interiors: plain modern schemes, soft greys and creams, and simple rooms that need texture without busy pattern.

Best for

  • Bathrooms and en-suites where moisture is a concern
  • Windows that need privacy without heavy window coverings
  • Homes that want wipeable, low-fuss blinds
  • Simple schemes using whites, greys, creams or soft patterns

Worth knowing

  • Real wood is best kept out of bathrooms
  • Blackout fabrics give more screening, but can make a small bathroom feel heavier
  • Very dark shades can show water marks or condensation more readily than mid tones

How to choose

  1. 1

    Choose by moisture level

For bathrooms, wipeable and waterproof roller fabrics are the most obvious fit, especially near showers, baths and sinks. If the room gets very steamy, ask your advisor which fabric and fitting position will suit the window best.

  2. 2

    Think about privacy and light

A roller blind covers the whole pane when lowered, which suits overlooked windows. Vertical blinds let you tilt the louvres to soften the view in and adjust the daylight through the room without raising the blind fully.

  3. 3

Use colour to set the room

This filter leans towards whites, creams, greys and soft stone shades, with some subtle leaf, wave and marbled textures. Pale colours keep a bathroom light, while a darker blind can give contrast if the room already has enough natural light.

Bathroom blinds: questions people ask

Which blind types are most common in this bathroom filter?

From the sample shown, most of this filter is made up of roller blinds, with some vertical blinds as well. The fabrics lean towards wipeable and waterproof options, which makes sense for bathrooms where moisture and easy cleaning matter.

Are the bathroom blinds here plain or patterned?

Mostly plain and lightly textured. The sample includes simple whites, creams, greys and stone shades, plus a few understated leaf, wave or marbled effects. That gives a bathroom some surface interest without making the window area feel busy.

Do bathroom blinds in this filter help with privacy?

Yes, privacy is one of the main reasons people choose them. A roller blind gives full cover when lowered, while a vertical blind lets you angle the louvres to manage the view in. Your advisor can help you judge the right level for the room.

Are these bathroom blinds easy to clean?

The sample ranges include easy-wipe and waterproof fabrics, which are useful in bathrooms. In day-to-day use, that usually means a gentle wipe or light clean rather than anything complicated. Your advisor can point out the most practical fabrics in the range.

Can I use a bathroom blind for a small or awkward window?

Usually, yes. Bathroom windows are often small, and made-to-measure blinds are cut to each opening rather than treated as standard sizes. Every opening is measured on its own by the advisor, so the finished fit is based on the window you actually have.

1. Roller and brackets

The fabric winds onto a tube held by two small brackets, inside the recess or on the wall above it. Which one suits your window is settled when it's measured.

Your advisor brings samples of every option to your window, so you can see and feel them before you choose.

Cut to your window, not trimmed to fit

We measure each recess on site and allow for handles, tiles, sills and tilt-and-turn frames before anything is made.

A fabric that looks warm under showroom lighting can read grey at home. Your advisor brings the range to your rooms so you judge it against your walls.

Our own fitter installs, squares up and takes the packaging away. Nothing is subcontracted out and there is no surprise charge at the end.

04

One year of cover

Fabric, mechanism and fitting are covered by our 1-year guarantee. If a chain or a bracket fails, we come back out and put it right.

Finance options available. We offer flexible ways to pay so a whole-house refresh doesn't have to land in one go. Your advisor will talk you through what's available at your appointment.

Bathroom blinds: your questions answered

How this type behaves in a real room, plus how measuring, fitting and the guarantee work.

Is fitting included in the price?

Yes. The quote you are given covers the product, the fitting and the guarantee. Your fitter hangs everything, checks the operation with you and takes the packaging away.

Who measures the windows?

Your advisor does, on the appointment. That matters for more than convenience: because we take the measurements, the fit is our responsibility rather than yours. Every opening is measured on its own — we never size one window off the one next to it.

What guarantee do I get?

A 1-year guarantee on every blind, shutter and motor we supply and fit. If something goes wrong inside that period, ring the office and we come back out.

Which type of blind suits which room?

Rollers are the simplest and best value and take blackout or dimout fabrics for bedrooms. Romans give a soft, curtain-like fold in living rooms. Venetians and wooden slats let you tilt light rather than just block it, which suits kitchens and studies. Verticals handle wide spans and patio doors. Day & night blinds have alternating stripes so you can trade privacy against light through the day.
