Four ways a curtain can hang
The heading changes how much wall the curtains stack back onto, how deep the folds sit and, quite often, the price. Pick a style to filter the ranges below.
Eyelet
Metal rings run straight onto the pole, so the fabric falls in deep, even waves and draws with one pull.
Pencil pleat
A gathered tape you can tighten to suit the window. The one heading that works on a pole or a track.
Pinch pleat
Pleats hand-formed in groups and stitched to hold. The most tailored option, and the one that stacks tightest.
Wave
A continuous S-fold on a corded track. Clean and contemporary, and it needs a proper wall run to stack back onto.

White curtains, explained
White curtains covers the paler end of our curtain fabrics, from chalky off-whites and oatmeal neutrals through to sheer voiles. Few are a flat, single-tone white; most are woven with some texture or a faint pattern, and several ranges shown here include other colourways alongside the white or cream one. You'll find the shade in headings such as eyelet, pencil pleat and wave, in linings from sheer voile through to blackout, and made up as curtains or, in a few ranges, as a matching Roman blind. Because "white" covers such a wide span of fabrics, the best way to judge a shade is against your own walls and woodwork, which is what a home visit is for.
Suits calmer, understated interiors and rooms where the curtains are meant to recede rather than draw the eye, from Scandinavian-style neutrals to a soft, traditional bedroom look.

Decide how much light you want blocked
Voile curtains and Voile Roman blinds are sheer and let light filter through; blackout curtains in a white or oatmeal fabric give the same soft look with a darker room at night.

Check the heading suits your pole or track
Eyelet and wave curtains need a pole or a wave track, pencil pleat can go on either, and pinch pleat is hand-formed for a more tailored finish. Your advisor can confirm what your window already has.

White shifts under different light and against different wall colours, so a free swatch held against your own window is a more reliable guide than a screen image.

Will these white curtains look exactly like the photos on screen?
Not always. White and off-white fabrics are especially sensitive to the light in a room and the colour of surrounding walls and woodwork, so a screen image is only a rough guide. A free sample held against your own window in your own light gives a much truer idea before you order.
Are white curtains harder to keep clean than darker colours?
Marks and dust can show more readily on paler fabrics, particularly near kitchens or handling areas. Most of our curtains are dry cleaned rather than washed at home, and day-to-day upkeep is usually just a gentle brush or vacuum with the crevice tool.
Can I get a white voile and a heavier white curtain together?
Yes, several of these ranges include both a sheer voile curtain and a companion Voile Roman blind or heavier curtain in a similar tone, so you can layer sheer daytime privacy with a fuller curtain for evenings. Your advisor can show you which ranges pair together.
Do white curtains need a blind underneath in a bay window?
It's a common combination: a blind fitted into the recess for privacy and light control, with white curtains hung outside the bay for the finished look. It isn't compulsory, and plenty of customers choose curtains alone.
Is white a good choice for a child's bedroom?
The colour makes no difference to safety; what matters is the mechanism. Every corded curtain option comes with the required child-safety fittings, and for cots or very young children a cordless track or motorised option is usually recommended instead.

Which curtain heading should I choose?
Eyelet curtains run straight onto a pole and fall in deep, even waves — the simplest to draw. Pencil pleat is a gathered tape that works on a pole or a track. Pinch pleat is hand-formed in groups and stitched, which is the most tailored look and stacks tightest. Wave hangs from a track in a continuous S-curve and suits large modern windows.
What difference does the lining make?
A standard lining protects the fabric and improves how it hangs. Thermal lining measurably helps a cold or draughty room. Blackout lining is what you want in a bedroom. Interlining adds weight and body for a heavier, more expensive drape.
Do you supply the poles and tracks?
Yes, and your fitter puts them up. Getting the pole height and width right is part of the job — curtains that clear the sill and stack off the glass need the pole set beyond the opening.
Can I have curtains and a blind on the same window?
Very common. A slim roller or roman inside the reveal gives you blackout and privacy, with curtains face-fitted outside it for warmth and dressing. Your advisor will check the reveal is deep enough for both to work.
Is fitting included in the price?
Yes. The quote you are given covers the product, the fitting and the guarantee. Your fitter hangs everything, checks the operation with you and takes the packaging away.
How is a quote worked out?
By the size of each opening, the product and fabric you choose, the heading or mechanism, and any motorisation. Because everything is made to your measurements there is no single list price — you get a written figure on the day, itemised per window, with the fitting and guarantee included.
What guarantee do I get?
A 1-year guarantee on every blind, shutter and motor we supply and fit. If something goes wrong inside that period, ring the office and we come back out.
