All 21 light wood ranges, A–Z
Explained
Light Wood, explained
Light Wood brings together blinds finished in pale honey, tan and straw timber tones, rather than white, grey or a dark stain. Most are wooden or wood-effect venetians, where horizontal slats show a visible grain, but the group also picks up a handful of fabric rollers and a pleated conservatory blind in similar warm neutral tones. Some ranges are solid timber; others are faux wood, wood-effect metal or fabric designed to give the same warmth with easier upkeep. The material behind the colour matters for where a blind can go, so it's worth checking whether a range is genuine wood or a wood-effect alternative before choosing for a bathroom, kitchen or conservatory.
Suits pared-back, natural interiors and Scandinavian-leaning schemes, and works as a warmer counterpoint in rooms that are otherwise white, grey or heavily painted.
Best for
- Kitchens, living rooms and bedrooms where you want the warmth of timber without a stark white or grey finish
- Wooden or faux-wood venetians where a honey, tan or straw tone is wanted rather than white or a dark stain
- Bringing a natural, timber-toned accent into a scheme that's otherwise painted white or grey
- Conservatories and dining rooms taking a wood-effect metal venetian for a lighter alternative to a dark stain
Worth knowing
- The filter mixes genuine wood and faux-wood venetians with some roller and pleated fabrics whose colourways are closer to cream, honey or straw than to a true wood tone - worth checking the swatch photo rather than the name alone
- Real wood is best kept out of bathrooms and away from hobs; for those rooms ask about the PVC, faux-wood or wipeable roller options instead
- Some ranges shown here are actually metal or fabric venetians with a wood-effect finish rather than solid timber, so the look is similar but the material and care are different
How to choose
- 1
Decide real wood or wood-effect
Solid timber venetians give the truest grain and are best in living rooms and bedrooms; faux-wood or wood-effect metal versions cost less to maintain and suit conservatories, kitchens or anywhere with damp or heat.
- 2
Check the tone against your own light
Light wood covers everything from pale honey to warm tan. Your advisor brings the sample range to your window so you can see how a tone reads against your existing floors and furniture before ordering.
- 3
Match the room to the material
For bathrooms or splashback areas near a hob, ask about waterproof or wipeable alternatives with the same light wood look, since solid wood isn't recommended for those spots.
Light Wood: questions people ask
Are all the blinds under Light Wood made from real timber?
No. The colour groups together genuine wooden venetians with faux-wood and wood-effect metal or fabric blinds that share a similar honey or tan tone. The product type and material are shown on each range, so check that before assuming it's solid wood.
Will a light wood blind suit a conservatory?
Several ranges shown here are aimed at conservatories, including wood-effect metal venetians and waterproof options, which cope better with heat and humidity than solid timber. Your advisor can confirm which finish suits a conservatory roof or windows on the day.
Can I get a light wood venetian with a fabric tape over the cords?
Yes, some wooden ranges are shown with matching fabric tapes covering the ladder cords, which gives a neater, more tailored finish. This is a styling option on certain ranges rather than every product, so ask your advisor which tapes are available.
Do light wood blinds work well in a bathroom?
Solid wood isn't recommended for bathrooms or anywhere steamy. If you like the light wood tone, ask about the PVC, faux-wood or wipeable roller versions that carry a similar colour without the moisture risk.
How do I keep a light wood venetian looking right over time?
Dust the slats regularly with a soft brush or dry cloth to stop grain and grooves collecting dust. If the finish is faux wood or PVC rather than solid timber, a damp cloth wipe is fine; your advisor can confirm the right care for the exact range.

1. Roller and brackets
The fabric winds onto a tube held by two small brackets, inside the recess or on the wall above it. Which one suits your window is settled when it's measured.
Your advisor brings samples of every option to your window, so you can see and feel them before you choose.

Cut to your window, not trimmed to fit
We measure each recess on site and allow for handles, tiles, sills and tilt-and-turn frames before anything is made.
Samples seen in your own light
A fabric that looks warm under showroom lighting can read grey at home. Your advisor brings the range to your rooms so you judge it against your walls.
Fitted by the people who sold it
Our own fitter installs, squares up and takes the packaging away. Nothing is subcontracted out and there is no surprise charge at the end.
One year of cover
Fabric, mechanism and fitting are covered by our 1-year guarantee. If a chain or a bracket fails, we come back out and put it right.
Finance options available. We offer flexible ways to pay so a whole-house refresh doesn't have to land in one go. Your advisor will talk you through what's available at your appointment.

Light Wood: your questions answered
How this type behaves in a real room, plus how measuring, fitting and the guarantee work.
Is fitting included in the price?
Yes. The quote you are given covers the product, the fitting and the guarantee. Your fitter hangs everything, checks the operation with you and takes the packaging away.
Who measures the windows?
Your advisor does, on the appointment. That matters for more than convenience: because we take the measurements, the fit is our responsibility rather than yours. Every opening is measured on its own — we never size one window off the one next to it.
What guarantee do I get?
A 1-year guarantee on every blind, shutter and motor we supply and fit. If something goes wrong inside that period, ring the office and we come back out.
Which type of blind suits which room?
Rollers are the simplest and best value and take blackout or dimout fabrics for bedrooms. Romans give a soft, curtain-like fold in living rooms. Venetians and wooden slats let you tilt light rather than just block it, which suits kitchens and studies. Verticals handle wide spans and patio doors. Day & night blinds have alternating stripes so you can trade privacy against light through the day.
