Explained
White blinds, explained
White blinds are one of the most straightforward starting points on this site: any range that comes in a white or near-white shade is gathered here, whatever the material or mechanism behind it. In practice that means roller, vertical and PVC blinds in shades from crisp white through to soft cream and off-white, often sitting alongside greys and darker tones in the same range. Most of these fabrics have some texture or subtle marbling rather than being a flat block colour, so "white" covers a fair spread of warmth and finish. Filtering here narrows a large catalogue down to the shades that will read as white or close to it once hung, though your advisor can confirm the exact tone against your own walls and light.
White suits pared-back, Scandinavian-leaning and classic British interiors alike, and works as a quiet backdrop whether the rest of the room is minimal or busier with pattern elsewhere.
Best for
- Rooms that need to feel brighter or larger
- Kitchens, bathrooms and conservatories where a clean, easy-to-match finish helps
- Pairing with existing white or neutral trim, sills and frames
- Households wanting a shade that suits most decorating schemes without dating quickly
Worth knowing
- Many ranges shown here include cream, oatmeal or pale grey alongside white, so check the description or ask for a sample rather than assuming a stark white
- Textured or marbled weaves can look slightly warmer or cooler in person than in a photograph, depending on the light in your room
How to choose
- 1
Decide how bright you want it
A flat, matt white keeps things simple and neutral, while a textured or marbled white can add subtle interest without introducing pattern or colour.
- 2
Think about the room's job
Bathrooms and kitchens often suit wipeable PVC or vinyl whites, while bedrooms might call for a blackout or thermal-lined white for better sleep.
- 3
Order samples before deciding
White shades vary more than you'd expect once fabric texture and daylight are involved, so holding a free sample against your own window is the most reliable check.
White blinds: questions people ask
Are all the blinds in this filter a pure, stark white?
No. Alongside true white you'll find cream, oatmeal and pale grey shades grouped in here, since many ranges offer white as one of several neutral colourways. The product description and photos give a steer, but ordering a free sample is the surest way to see the exact shade against your own window.
Will a white blind show marks more than a darker one?
It depends on the fabric and the room. Wipeable PVC and vinyl whites used in kitchens and bathrooms are designed to be cleaned with a damp cloth, while fabric rollers are best sponged rather than soaked if they pick up a stain. Your advisor can point you to the easier-clean options for busy rooms.
Can I get a white blind with blackout or thermal lining?
Yes, several white ranges shown here are available with blackout or thermal backing, which is common for bedrooms and rooms that lose heat through the glass. The listing for each range shows which linings it comes in, and your advisor will confirm what suits your window.
Do white blinds come in vertical and roller styles as well as venetian?
Yes, this filter includes white and off-white shades across vertical, roller and slatted styles, so the choice is more about which mechanism suits the window than being limited to one type once you've picked the colour.
Is white a good choice for a conservatory?
It's a common one. Several white ranges here are also tagged for conservatory use, often with a waterproof or wipeable finish and sometimes a thermal lining to help with heat through the glass roof and windows.

1. Roller and brackets
The fabric winds onto a tube held by two small brackets, inside the recess or on the wall above it. Which one suits your window is settled when it's measured.
Your advisor brings samples of every option to your window, so you can see and feel them before you choose.

Trick or treat your windows
The clocks go back on Sunday 25 October, and the dark evenings arrive with them. Blackout blinds and lined curtains keep the glow in and the street out.

Why our white blinds service is right for you
Cut to your window, not trimmed to fit
We measure each recess on site and allow for handles, tiles, sills and tilt-and-turn frames before anything is made.
Samples seen in your own light
A fabric that looks warm under showroom lighting can read grey at home. Your advisor brings the range to your rooms so you judge it against your walls.
Fitted by the people who sold it
Our own fitter installs, squares up and takes the packaging away. Nothing is subcontracted out and there is no surprise charge at the end.
One year of cover
Fabric, mechanism and fitting are covered by our 1-year guarantee. If a chain or a bracket fails, we come back out and put it right.
Finance options available. We offer flexible ways to pay so a whole-house refresh doesn't have to land in one go. Your advisor will talk you through what's available at your appointment.

White blinds: your questions answered
How this type behaves in a real room, plus how measuring, fitting and the guarantee work.
Is fitting included in the price?
Yes. The quote you are given covers the product, the fitting and the guarantee. Your fitter hangs everything, checks the operation with you and takes the packaging away.
Who measures the windows?
Your advisor does, on the appointment. That matters for more than convenience: because we take the measurements, the fit is our responsibility rather than yours. Every opening is measured on its own — we never size one window off the one next to it.
What guarantee do I get?
A 1-year guarantee on every blind, shutter and motor we supply and fit. If something goes wrong inside that period, ring the office and we come back out.
Which type of blind suits which room?
Rollers are the simplest and best value and take blackout or dimout fabrics for bedrooms. Romans give a soft, curtain-like fold in living rooms. Venetians and wooden slats let you tilt light rather than just block it, which suits kitchens and studies. Verticals handle wide spans and patio doors. Day & night blinds have alternating stripes so you can trade privacy against light through the day.
