Explained
Grey blinds, explained
Grey blinds bring together the ranges in our collection that include a grey fabric or finish, across roller, vertical and PVC blinds. It is a wide net: some are a flat, understated grey, while others use a woven, marbled or subtly patterned fabric where grey is one of several tones. Shades run from pale dove and stone through to near-charcoal, so this filter suits browsing rather than picking a single exact colour. Many of the ranges here also come in bathroom-safe PVC or wipeable finishes, alongside blackout and thermal options, so grey works as a practical choice as well as a neutral one for most rooms in the house.
Grey works as a quiet, flexible neutral, from pale dove tones that soften a bright room to near-charcoal shades that suit a more contemporary or moodier scheme.
Best for
- Living rooms and bedrooms wanting a neutral backdrop that works with changing décor
- Kitchens and bathrooms, using wipeable PVC options in grey tones
- Conservatories and dining rooms, where roller and vertical greys are both offered
- North-facing or plain rooms where a textured grey adds interest without pattern
- Pairing with curtains outside the reveal for a layered, muted scheme
Worth knowing
- Grey here spans pale dove through to near-charcoal, so ask for samples if you have a specific shade in mind
- Many of these fabrics are marbled, mottled or woven rather than flat grey, which reads differently on a large window than in a small sample
- Some entries are replacement slats for existing vertical blinds rather than a full blind, so check you are ordering the right product
How to choose
- 1
Match the undertone
Some greys here lean warm and stone-like, others cool and silvery. Hold a sample against your walls and woodwork in daylight before deciding, since artificial light can shift how a grey reads.
- 2
Decide flat or textured
Several ranges use a woven, marbled or wave-like texture rather than a plain finish. If you want a completely flat colour, ask your advisor which greys in the range are plain rather than patterned.
- 3
Think about the room
For bathrooms and kitchens, look for the wipeable or waterproof PVC options. For bedrooms, a blackout or thermal grey suits better if you want a darker room for sleep.
Grey blinds: questions people ask
Will the grey I see online match the fabric on my window?
Screens vary and light changes how any colour looks, so it is worth requesting a free sample and holding it against your own window before ordering. Your advisor will also bring the full range to your home appointment so you can check it in your own light.
Are these grey blinds all the same shade?
No. The filter groups ranges that include a grey option, but the shade varies from pale dove and stone through to near-charcoal, and some are plain while others have a subtle woven or marbled texture. Check each range's own photos and order a sample to compare.
Can I get a grey blind for my bathroom or kitchen?
Yes, several of these ranges are offered in PVC or wipeable finishes suited to bathrooms and kitchens, alongside standard fabric versions for other rooms. Ask your advisor which grey options are waterproof if that matters for your space.
Do the vertical blind slats come in the same grey as the roller blinds?
Where a range offers both roller and vertical versions, the grey tones are generally consistent across formats, though the woven or textured effect can look slightly different once hung as vertical louvres rather than a flat roller. Compare samples of both if you are unsure.
I only need replacement slats in grey, not a whole new blind. Is that available?
Yes, some ranges in this filter are listed specifically as replacement slats for vertical blinds you already own, rather than complete blinds. Check the product name before ordering, or ask your advisor if you are not sure which you need.
How it's made
How a roller blind works
Tap a number to see what each part does, and what you'll be choosing at your appointment.

1. Roller and brackets
The fabric winds onto a tube held by two small brackets, inside the recess or on the wall above it. Which one suits your window is settled when it's measured.
Your advisor brings samples of every option to your window, so you can see and feel them before you choose.

The clocks go back on Sunday 25 October, and the dark evenings arrive with them. Blackout blinds and lined curtains keep the glow in and the street out.

Why our grey blinds service is right for you
Cut to your window, not trimmed to fit
We measure each recess on site and allow for handles, tiles, sills and tilt-and-turn frames before anything is made.
Samples seen in your own light
A fabric that looks warm under showroom lighting can read grey at home. Your advisor brings the range to your rooms so you judge it against your walls.
Fitted by the people who sold it
Our own fitter installs, squares up and takes the packaging away. Nothing is subcontracted out and there is no surprise charge at the end.
One year of cover
Fabric, mechanism and fitting are covered by our 1-year guarantee. If a chain or a bracket fails, we come back out and put it right.
Finance options available. We offer flexible ways to pay so a whole-house refresh doesn't have to land in one go. Your advisor will talk you through what's available at your appointment.

Grey blinds: your questions answered
How this type behaves in a real room, plus how measuring, fitting and the guarantee work.
Is fitting included in the price?
Yes. The quote you are given covers the product, the fitting and the guarantee. Your fitter hangs everything, checks the operation with you and takes the packaging away.
Who measures the windows?
Your advisor does, on the appointment. That matters for more than convenience: because we take the measurements, the fit is our responsibility rather than yours. Every opening is measured on its own — we never size one window off the one next to it.
What guarantee do I get?
A 1-year guarantee on every blind, shutter and motor we supply and fit. If something goes wrong inside that period, ring the office and we come back out.
Which type of blind suits which room?
Rollers are the simplest and best value and take blackout or dimout fabrics for bedrooms. Romans give a soft, curtain-like fold in living rooms. Venetians and wooden slats let you tilt light rather than just block it, which suits kitchens and studies. Verticals handle wide spans and patio doors. Day & night blinds have alternating stripes so you can trade privacy against light through the day.
