Explained
Red blinds, explained
Red blinds covers a broad colour family rather than one exact shade. On this page you are likely to see everything from clear pillar-box reds to deeper raspberry, rust, terracotta and copper-toned finishes, across roller, vertical and metal venetian styles. That makes it a useful filter if you want warmth or a stronger accent at the window, but it also means the results will vary in depth, texture and material. Some fabrics read soft and matt, while metal slats look crisper and more reflective.
Red blinds suit schemes that can take a bit more colour: clean white walls, darker painted rooms, mid-century shapes, or warmer interiors with terracotta, wood and black accents.
Best for
- Adding warmth or a stronger accent to plainer rooms
- Roller, vertical and metal venetian blinds in red, rust and terracotta tones
- Dining rooms, living rooms, children’s rooms and some bedroom schemes
- Windows where you want colour to stand out against white or light frames
Worth knowing
- This filter appears to include warm rust, terracotta and coppery shades as well as straightforward red
- A few non-blind items and non-red designs appear in the sample, so check each product image closely
- Red can look brighter or browner depending on fabric texture, metallic finish and the light in the room
How to choose
- 1
Pick the red family first
Some options here are bright and clear, while others lean towards raspberry, brick, terracotta or copper. Decide whether you want a cleaner red or something earthier, then compare products in daylight so the undertone is easier to judge.
- 2
Match the material to the look
A plain roller or vertical fabric gives a flatter block of colour, often softer and more muted. Metal venetians give stronger horizontal lines and a slight sheen, so the same red can feel sharper and more graphic.
- 3
Think about the room’s use
For bedrooms, blackout options may be worth looking for within the red shades available. For kitchens or bathrooms, ask about wipeable finishes or moisture-friendly options, as the best material depends on the window and room conditions.
Red blinds: questions people ask
Are all the blinds on this page the same shade of red?
No. The sample shows a mix of true reds, deeper raspberry tones, and warmer rust or terracotta shades. Some products also have a metallic finish, which changes how the colour reads. It is best to treat this as a broad red family rather than one exact match.
Do red blinds work in bedrooms, or are they too strong?
They can work well, especially in deeper or more muted tones. The page sample includes some blackout red options, which may suit bedrooms better than brighter finishes. If you want the room to feel calmer, look at darker reds or softer fabric textures rather than shiny finishes.
What blind styles are most common in this red filter?
From the sample, red appears across roller blinds, vertical blinds and metal venetians, including some fitted close to the frame. Each gives a different effect: rollers look simpler, verticals suit larger openings well, and venetians give sharper lines and adjustable light control.
Will a red blind look different once it is up at the window?
Often, yes. Light from behind can make some fabrics appear brighter, while metal slats may look cooler or shinier depending on the time of day. At a home appointment, an advisor can hold samples against your own window so you can see the colour in the room where it will hang.
Are the results on this page all blinds?
Not entirely, based on the sample provided. There appear to be some accessories and some curtain products mixed into the filter, along with a few designs that do not obviously read as red. It is worth checking the product type and main image before narrowing your choice.

1. Roller and brackets
The fabric winds onto a tube held by two small brackets, inside the recess or on the wall above it. Which one suits your window is settled when it's measured.
Your advisor brings samples of every option to your window, so you can see and feel them before you choose.

Why our red blinds service is right for you
Cut to your window, not trimmed to fit
We measure each recess on site and allow for handles, tiles, sills and tilt-and-turn frames before anything is made.
Samples seen in your own light
A fabric that looks warm under showroom lighting can read grey at home. Your advisor brings the range to your rooms so you judge it against your walls.
Fitted by the people who sold it
Our own fitter installs, squares up and takes the packaging away. Nothing is subcontracted out and there is no surprise charge at the end.
One year of cover
Fabric, mechanism and fitting are covered by our 1-year guarantee. If a chain or a bracket fails, we come back out and put it right.
Finance options available. We offer flexible ways to pay so a whole-house refresh doesn't have to land in one go. Your advisor will talk you through what's available at your appointment.

Red blinds: your questions answered
How this type behaves in a real room, plus how measuring, fitting and the guarantee work.
Is fitting included in the price?
Yes. The quote you are given covers the product, the fitting and the guarantee. Your fitter hangs everything, checks the operation with you and takes the packaging away.
Who measures the windows?
Your advisor does, on the appointment. That matters for more than convenience: because we take the measurements, the fit is our responsibility rather than yours. Every opening is measured on its own — we never size one window off the one next to it.
What guarantee do I get?
A 1-year guarantee on every blind, shutter and motor we supply and fit. If something goes wrong inside that period, ring the office and we come back out.
Which type of blind suits which room?
Rollers are the simplest and best value and take blackout or dimout fabrics for bedrooms. Romans give a soft, curtain-like fold in living rooms. Venetians and wooden slats let you tilt light rather than just block it, which suits kitchens and studies. Verticals handle wide spans and patio doors. Day & night blinds have alternating stripes so you can trade privacy against light through the day.
